marble stationary
OK so when i found out about this i was like "no way" but then of course i simply had to try it. this is soooooo dead easy it's not even funny. it's quick, easy and just fun. enjoy marbling your own stationary (or any other piece of paper for that matter) with these basic supplies.
- shaving cream
- food coloring
- paper (preferably paper with some texture)
- scotch blue tape
1. take the piece of paper and line the back with the scotch blue tape. this will help the paper not to bend to much after marbling. however a little bit of bending can be expected.
2. squirt the shaving cream on the cookie sheet and put 2 to 3 drops of your base color onto the cream. mix and need the cream until you have a nice looking marble effect, don't worry to much about the marble design, it will do the magic on it's own. spread out the shaving cream, it should be able to cover tho whole piece of paper and still be about 1/2 to 1 inch thick. drop a few drops of second cooler hear and there and spread it out a little with the tooth pick.
3. place the piece of paper with the tape facing up on the shaving cream. and gently press around the edges and the middle. gently remove the paper and place tape side down on the paper towel.
4. take your ruler and scrape all the extra shaving cream off. let dry about an hour. and voila. your done.
